" In 2012, I started Advanced RV (ARV) to build custom motorhomes on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. After 10 years in business, we have a loyal client base and a team of about 50, including engineers, designers, craftspeople, and support staff, operating out of an 85,000 sq. ft facility near Cleveland, Ohio."

ARV President

I’ve always sought adventure — traveling, building, collaborating, finding the most elegant way to meet a challenge. With my wife, Marcia, I’ve had the opportunity to bike, hike, kayak, backpack and wander through many countries, enjoying the diversity of people, cultures and environments across the world.

For years, we explored North America in a Sprinter motor home, visiting clients and construction sites as part of my first business, Neundorfer, a consulting, design and product company dedicated to reducing air pollution from heavy industry. Because we’d always traveled with minimal gear, we loved the flexibility of a small motor home. But the more we used ours, the more possibilities I saw for technical and aesthetic improvements.

I saw an opportunity to build innovative, custom motorhomes on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis that are as elegant as they are practical. So, in 2012 — as I was transferring ownership of Neundorfer, and after receiving Marcia’s blessing to invest most of our savings in the venture – I decided to launch Advanced RV.

I wanted to build a team of creative people with deep experience and outstanding skills. I wanted to work with clients to understand their visions for how they want to travel, develop designs that reflect their visions, and craft custom motorhomes to the highest standards of quality, performance and artistry. I wanted to build a company where the quality of the work speaks for itself, where we communicate openly and honestly, and where we’re truly committed to supporting each other, our clients and our suppliers.

Today, Advanced RV supports a loyal and growing client base, and I’m privileged to work with the best, most creative craftspeople I know. Operating out of an 85,000-square-foot facility near Cleveland, Ohio, our roughly 50-person team includes engineers, designers, craftspeople and support specialists. We strive to pay a living wage and support healthy work/life balance. Every team member is on salary, and we work 40 hours per week. We pay 100% of employees’ health care premiums and offer profit sharing.
